Jeff Soll has been handling Subrogation and Civil Defense since 2006.  Prior to joining Goldman, Magdalin, & Krikes, LLP, Mr. Soll worked in the Special Investigations Unit analyzing and evaluating applicant and medical provider workers’ compensation fraud and subsequently became in-house counsel in the Subrogation Department of Zenith Insurance Company handling workers’ compensation subrogation matters.

Mr. Soll joined Goldman, Magdalin, & Krikes, LLP in 2011 and is the Managing Partner of the Subrogation and Civil Division for the firm. He represents clients in personal injury claims specializing in workers’ compensation subrogation and general liability defense for employers, insurance companies, self-insurers, and public entities throughout the entire state of California.  He also specializes in third-party credit issues under Labor Code § 3861 before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, defense of Labor Code § 132(a) claims, defense of Serious and Willful Misconduct claims, and defense of civil claims brought by plaintiffs barred by the exclusive remedy.

Mr. Soll strategically develops the best plan of action to globally resolve matters for clients on a cost-effective basis.  He has obtained millions of dollars in subrogation recovery for clients and in excess of 10 million dollars in savings for clients of future exposure on workers’ compensation claims through the use of court orders on third-party credit and global resolution of civil and workers’ compensation claims by way of a Third-Party Compromise and Release.  

He has given various seminars on the topics of Workers’ Compensation Subrogation and Third-Party Credit Rights for employers, insurers, public entities, and self-insurers and has spoken for the National Association Subrogation Professionals (“NASP”). 

Mr. Soll was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2006 and is admitted to all jurisdictions of the Superior Court of California, United States District Court of the Central District, United States District Court of the Eastern District, and United States District Court of the Northern District of California. 


Jeff Soll received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at San Diego in 2003 where he majored in Political Science and minored in Law & Society.  He received his Juris Doctorate degree and graduated cum laude from the University of La Verne College of Law in 2006 where he was a senior staff writer and technical editor for the Law Review of the Journal of Juvenile Law.
