Biography

Ira Johns is a veteran attorney in all aspects of workers’ compensation law since 2000. He represented both applicants and defendants before joining Goldman Magdalin Straatsma. He has been an author, speaker, trainer and mentor to others in the field of workers’ compensation. Before entering workers’ compensation Mr. Johns was a civil trial and appellate attorney. Originally from the Midwest he obtained a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University Of Illinois. After moving to California Mr. Johns obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern School of Law in 1977. Mr. Johns is a long time member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California and the U.S. District Court- Central District of California.
